OpisThis study aimed to compare the physical responses of soccer players with different levels of specific endurance during SSG performed by teams balanced according to athletes’ specific endurance. Eighteen U-17 athletes from a team that participated in national competitions took part in this study. The Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 2 (YIRT2) was used to measure the athletes’ specific endurance. Then, athletes were allocated to two groups balanced according to their positional status and YIRT2 scores: in Group1 players with the highest results in the YIRT2 and in Group 2 with the lower YIRT2 scores. Athletes played two four-minute bouts of 3vs.3 small-sided games with goalkeepers with four minutes of passive rest. Total distance covered, average speed, and accelerations were obtained by GPS devices carried by each player. Group 1 presented higher total distance covered (large effect size), higher average speed (large effect size), and higher total distance covered in accelerations above 1 m·s-2 (moderate effect size), compared to Group 2. We concluded that specific endurance can partially influence physical responses of young soccer athletes during small-sided games. This information is important to appropriately prescribe small-sided games during the training process, possibly by grouping together athletes with similar specific endurance and, therefore, promoting an adequate stimulus to better-conditioned athletes.

OpisTensiomyography (TMG) is a non-invasive technique commonly used for evaluating muscle properties in highly trained athletes. The aim of our study was to evaluate the mechanical characteristics of m. triceps surae in competitive runners through TMG measurement and analyze if there was a relationship with running economy (RE). Nine male runners completed the study (mean±SD: age 40.4±9.0 years, body height 176.2±4.9 cm, body mass 70.7±9.4 kg, 10-km time 39.8±5.9 min, VO2peak 56.9 ± 6.5 mL kg-1 min-1). Each subject visited the lab on two occasions with 72h of rest between the trials. On the first day, an incremental test was performed to determine their ventilatory thresholds and peak oxygen consumption. On the second day, RE was evaluated on a treadmill at the velocity of their first ventilatory threshold (VT1), and mechanical characteristics of the soleus and gastrocnemius muscles were analyzed with TMG. Significant differences were found between the economic and non-economic runners in m. soleus in delayed time (Td), contraction time (Tc), and maximal radial displacement of the muscle belly (Dm). Also, significant differences were found in contraction time (Tc) in medium calf (MC) and in half relaxation time (Tr) in lateral twin (LT). The main finding of our study was that the runners with better RE showed greater stiffness in the triceps surae muscles, an aspect that seems to be associated with better performance in athlete runners.

OpisIn line with the tenets of self-determination theory, the current study tested associations of perceived autonomy-supportive and controlling behaviour from PE teacher with adolescents’ leisure-time physical activity (LT PA) participation, and the role of need satisfaction and need frustration, autonomous motivation and controlled motivation in PE, and perceived effort towards LT PA as mediators of these associations. Adolescents (N=381) aged between 12 and 15 years completed self-reported measures of respective constructs. Results of the structural equation modelling demonstrated that perceived autonomy-supportive behaviour from PE teachers was related to adolescents’ LT PA participation only via experiences of need satisfaction and autonomous motivation in PE, and perceived effort towards LT PA. Perceived controlling behaviour from PE teachers was found to be related to adolescents’ LT PA participation only via experiences of need frustration and controlled motivation in PE, and perceived effort towards LT PA. The current study provided evidence that perceived autonomy-supportive behaviour and perceived controlling behaviour from PE teachers contributes to adolescents’ LT PA participation through unique pathways. Findings highlight the facilitative role of autonomy-supportive behaviour from teachers in a PE context on adolescents’ LT PA participation. In addition, the beneficial role of controlled motivation in PE, although instigated by students’ perceptions of controlling behaviour from teachers and experiences of need frustration in PE, on adolescents’ LT PA participation was supported.

OpisThe aim of this study was to design and validate an observational instrument used to analyse the in-game behaviour of the football goalkeeper (GK) in defence and attack. The validation and reliability testing processes were carried out by twelve experts through five steps. Contents validity was calculated using Aiken’s V and the kappa index was used to analyse reliability. The observational tool was divided into three different content blocks: GK’s offensive actions, GK’s defensive actions, and opponent’s actions taken before a GK’s defensive action. Only three out of the total of 24 items achieved low values that, after modifications, recorded optimal values (values higher than .90) in accordance with the Aiken’s V. Following step one, new proposals were evaluated after a pilot test. The reliability test scored optimal values (values higher than .85). An observational sheet was developed to manage the quantitative and qualitative assessments of experts, and the proposed tool was accepted as valid and reliable.

OpisThe aim of the study is to examine the moderating role of sports performance in the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and stress coping strategies. In a sample of 171 elite and 169 non-elite athletes, EI was found to be related to task-oriented strategies, and completely unrelated to emotion-oriented strategies. Sport performance moderates the relationship between managing and regulating emotions and using avoidant coping strategies, in a way that non-elite athletes with higher scores on this EI subscale are more likely to use distraction-oriented coping.

OpisThis study investigated the role the dyadic interaction variability plays in influencing decision making on passing in the sport of futsal. Participants were 40 male students (Mage = 13.6 years, SD = 0.7) from physical education classes of a Brazilian school. They were randomly divided into eight teams, which played four games of 24 minutes according to the rules of the under-14 category of the local Futsal Federation. From the games, a sample of 80 sequences of play involving passes were randomly selected, from the moment the ball carrier got possession of the ball until the moment he passed it. From the x and y coordinates of all outfield players’ displacement, variability of running correlation, cross-correlation, centroid, and interpersonal distance were calculated as measures of dyadic interaction. Results showed that the interaction of passer and receiver dyads were more variable than the remaining dyads. Moreover, it was verified that the passer dyad had the highest variability. The findings enabled us to conclude that, from the attackers’ point of view, variability played a positive role. In addition, it appeared that the passer sought to disrupt the interaction with his defender to perform a pass more than his teammates did to receive it. It appears that the skills of passing and receiving in the sport of futsal imply the ability to vary.

OpisThe objective of this study was to identify how the ecological variables influence the setter during the setting and what were the predictive factors of the attack effect among Brazilian teams ranked from the 1st to 4th place in the volleyball Women’s Super-League in 2016-2017. We analyzed 768 attacks from 10 matches played among the teams. A descriptive analysis was performed and, to identify how the setting location differed in relation to the ecological variables, the One-Way ANOVA (factor 1 = setting location) was used. In addition, multinomial logistic regression was performed to understand the predictive factors of the effect of the attack. The significance level was set at 5% (p≤.05) and the SPSS software version 20.0 was used. The results showed the setting location differed according to the distance between the setter and the central attacker, the distance between the setter and the central blocker, and the distance between the setter and the blocker of position 4. Besides, it was observed that the powerful attack and the blocking touch were predictive factors of the effect of the attack. Thus, it is concluded that the decision-making for the action of the setting is based on the availability of the central attacker and the configuration of the blockers, the powerful attack reduces the chances of defense and the blocking touch reduces the chances of scoring by attacking.

NaslovKontrola ustavnosti i zakonitosti naredbe / Josip Vučković.

Legislative authorisation to issue orders essentially enables timely regulation of various emergency situations, in which such an order is usually demanding an action or omission that is otherwise not mandatory, or prohibiting an action that is otherwise legally permitted. However, our legislative practice thus far has shown that such legislative authorisation often contain vague or general formulations, without clearly defined boundaries of the authority on the basis of which some additional restrictions or obligations are regularly imposed on business entities for the duration of an intervention measures. This paper primarily examines the vagueness of the new systematic regulation of orders, which leaves open the question of the competence for the review of the constitutionality and legality of this generally binding subordinate legislation. Specifically, an order cannot be the subject of an objective administrative dispute at the moment, and the jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court is also questionable, since the State Administration System Act no longer explicitly defines an order as an implementing regulation. Consequently, the main part of the paper analyses the basic substantive features and legal nature of the order, examines the issue of the necessary degree of specificity and precision of the authorising norm as well as the role of the proportionality principle in the necessary limitation of the regulatory autonomy of the legislator and the issuers of orders, and, in conclusion, seeks to answer the question of whether the order should (and can) be subject to constitutionality and legality review by the Constitutional Court.
